Importance Of Fitness

Fitness is one of the most important aspects of today’s life. Almost anyone can tell the difference between a fit and an unfit body. The biggest difference between the two is that a fit body looks attractive and an unfit body looks unattractive. If you wish to look attractive in the eyes of other people, start becoming fit.

Let us look at some of the aspects of life we have dealt so far. If you are reading this post, chances are high that you are a working class person above the age of 25. Most people below 25 look slim and fit even if they are not actually fit and thus will not be reading our website.

When we are children, we are busy with a lot of random activities that we don’t realize help burn calories and keep us in shape. From a game of football, cricket or tennis to running and chasing friends down the hallway of your classroom.

From running towards the gate of the school or to the classroom as the bell rings, all of these are real activities that help burn calories and keep our metabolism rate at an elevated level. The funny thing is that we don’t even realize that we are doing these activities to stay fit. I remember my college days, I used to walk so far from the gate to our classroom that was in the 3rd floor.

We used to walk up stairs and never use lifts and we did this 3 floors upstairs almost 3-4 times a day. When I was in school, I used to play cricket everyday with our friends and a few years I also went for swimming almost every day. These kinds of activities kept me in shape during those days.

Today at an age of 25+ most of us have become lazy. We use Escalators or lifts instead of stairs, we sit in chairs all day and also hope someone brings our lunch to our table so we don’t have to get up.

We don’t play any sports because we don’t have time and we are no longer able to run because it is a childish thing to do, we just walk and walk slowly because that is mature. Due to this we now have a fat belly and while we claim it is childish to run, we may actually not be able to run more than a hundred meters due to our flat belly being so hard on our legs. It is time to change this situation and start becoming fit.

Different Ways To Become Fit:

Sports – Start playing some sports like cricket, football or even tennis. Playing sports will boost your activity and also lift up your metabolism rate. Sport game will literally make you sweat as you will spend most of the time running around in the field. It is an excellent way to remain fit.

Activity – Start some activity like running or swimming. Running is one of the easiest ways to keep your body fit. It elevates your heart rate and helps burn a lot of calories in a short span of time. It will also boost your stamina and it will help you do other activities too without getting tired easily. Swimming is an equally good activity to stay lean and fit. Swimming also is a great activity that burns a lot of calories quickly but swim fast and not lazily.

Gym – Join gym today and start weight lifting. Weight Lifting has been known to significantly increase your metabolism rate and helps in cutting down excess fat in your body. Lifting weights tears your muscles and repairing it takes energy which comes in the form of burning fat. An interesting way to increase fat burn is to do gym after several hours of eating so your body is forced to burn fat for energy rather burn food that is in your stomach.

Lifestyle – Stop looking for Lifts or escalators in Malls or offices and start using stairs. Stop asking other people favors and start doing favors to other people. Get up from your chair and go walk and do things which you would otherwise ask other people to pass it to you. Is there a junior member in your office that you keep asking for favors? Start doing your own work by moving your body and you will start noticing changes in your body almost instantly.
